    2004

    existent window, plexiglas, wood.
    dimensions (window+frame): 250 x 300 cm

Green Window relates to a lawn field in front of it. The whole window is filtered in dark green. A spot light placed outside, at the top of the building and facing downwards, projects a sharp rectangle of white light on the grass in front of the window. A kind of “anti-shadow” of the window.

The Window series take existing windows in a building and redesign the way they function as light interfaces. Windows frame and channel light, into and from a space. Glass windows have a sort of reversible behavior. During daytime, they channel sunlight, affecting the light inside a room. At night, they become highlights “marking” the image of a building.
